We’re looking for people who have the following qualities, attributes and certifications:
Ability to work with young people displaying high and complex needs. (Comprehensive training is provided to build these skills).
Willingness to work on a flexible, rotating work schedule.
Commitment to participate in a psychological suitability evaluation (to be eligible you must achieve a 'suitable' rating).
Successful completion of a Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and current First Aid Certificate requirements.
Highly desirable candidates will possess, or are willing to work towards attaining:
Certificate IV (or above) in Child, Youth and Family Intervention/Youth Work, or a similar qualification.
Current Safe Environments for Children and Young People (Through Their Eyes) Certificate.
Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Certificate.
Understanding of the impact of abuse and trauma, including knowledge of brain development, attachment disorders, and trauma-related behaviour.
